Ontario Tech acknowledges the lands and people of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.

We are thankful to be welcome on these lands in friendship. The lands we are situated on are covered by the Williams Treaties and are the traditional territory of the Mississaugas, a branch of the greater Anishinaabeg Nation, including Algonquin, Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi. These lands remain home to many Indigenous nations and peoples.

We acknowledge this land out of respect for the Indigenous nations who have cared for Turtle Island, also called North America, from before the arrival of settler peoples until this day. Most importantly, we acknowledge that the history of these lands has been tainted by poor treatment and a lack of friendship with the First Nations who call them home.

This history is something we are all affected by because we are all treaty people in Canada. We all have a shared history to reflect on, and each of us is affected by this history in different ways. Our past defines our present, but if we move forward as friends and allies, then it does not have to define our future.

Change of Program

If you're currently in an undergraduate degree-track program and would like to be considered for admission to another, you can apply for a change of program. 

To be eligible for consideration, you must hold the prerequisite course(s) for the program to which you are applying.

Once you have confirmed you hold the required course(s), fill out a change-of-program request form. This form is found under the Documents tab of MyCampus. Please note: Applications to a particular term become available after the application deadline for the previous term has passed and some programs may only have a fall intake.

Deadlines 
  • Friday, October 29: Deadline for applications for winter semester (January 2022). 
  • Friday, February 25: Deadline for applications for spring/summer semester (May 2022).
  • Friday, May 27: Deadline for applications for fall semester (September 2022).
Competitive programs

If you're interested in changing into a competitive program, you are required to apply by January 31 of the applicable year for the subsequent fall. Please note: We will only consider change of program requests for competitive programs for the fall intake. In order to apply for a change of program to competitive programs, email futurestudent@ontariotechu.ca. You cannot submit this application through MyCampus.

Competitive programs include: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) - Medical Laboratory Science
  • Nursing (Post-RPN)

Students in the Nursing - Post-RPN program seeking to change campus location must apply by the standard deadlines above.
